1. Angrignon Park

Angrignon Park is one of Montreal’s most accessible nature parks that are a favorite to many families. The park has a pond that is bordered by walking and biking trails. Here, one can easily spend time doing a lot of quality bird watching. The pond actually serves as a watering hole for various avian species that also come to feed on small fish and snails. Visitors can safely view them here as they take leisurely strolls.

It is widely known as the only outdoor zoo on the island of Montreal. It was established back in 1988 in line with the education, research, and conservation efforts of Canada’s wildlife. Here is where visitors can safely see many animals, including bears, caribou, otters, turtles, and lynxes.

3. The Montreal Insectarium

Known as the largest insect museum in North America and among the largest insectariums worldwide, the Montreal Insectarium easily attracts a lot of visitors who are in search of a most memorable experience. It showcases thousands of both live and preserved insects in its collection, including even those that are not local to Montreal. Enrico Andreoli from Montreal notes that from a bird’s eye view, the museum can easily be recognized as it takes the shape of a stylized insect.
